Fiamma Lift 77 Cover
The Fiamma Lift cover is designed for the Faimma Lift 77 Manual rack. Made from 600 Denier Kodra Polyester with a PVC backing it is strong, waterproof and durable. Kodra has a high level of resistance to breakdown with UV exposure and the PVC lining greatly reduces the risk of abrasion while providing a high degree of waterproofing.
Ideal for wheel sizes of 26"- 29", five adjustable straps around the sides allow you to tension the cover as required for a snug fit. It is advised that the cover is not applied too tightly however to minimise the risk of abrasion from the vibrations of travel. To protect the cover we supply a pedal pouch which you will find velcro-ed to the inside of the cover at the base where the zips meet. It is put on the outer pedal where it touches the cover.
OCD Covers have a universal handlebar pocket that will accommodate an 800mm wide straight mountain-bike or the curved handlebar set of the cruiser bike range.
Some vehicle and rack mountings require the handlebar of the inner mounted bike to be rotated 90' to lie parallel to the back of the vehicle to avoid contact with the vehicle while traveling. We accommodate this with a custom pocket for turned handlebars. If you require this design then please choose the Turned Handlebar version when ordering. A small extra fee is charged as each of these covers is individually cut and made.
Each cover is supplied with a sturdy storage bag.
Standard colours offered are sage and silver or grey and silver. We also offer red as an optional colour, but advise that the red pigment is not as UV stable as the other colours and fading can be expected over time. All combinations of these colours are available, but some are offered only as a custom option. Please choose your colour preference when ordering.
Mounting the cover:
After loading your bikes on the rack, place the supplied pedal pouch over the outer pedal.Using a pedal cover helps to avoid any abrasion and damage to the cover from vibration while traveling. To mount the cover, lower the rack and place the cover over the bikes, making sure that the centre tongue at the back sits over the horizontal back mounting bar on the van and drops through to the ground behind. The two colours of the cover will help you to orient it correctly. Locate the handlebars in the pouches and do up the zips around the sides of the wheels. Raise the rack and after fully closing the zips, bring the tongue through from under the rack to clip closed on the front panel of the cover. Now close the flaps around the bars at the back. The two longer flaps are parallel to the back of the van, while the two shorter flaps close under the bottom of the rack, parallel to the ground. Adjust the five side straps to give a tidy but not tight shape around the bikes and you are ready to travel.
